This policy covers sweetsandscience.com, which is run by O’Connell Sweets & Science, LLC. It explains what the site collects and what happens to it.

The short version

  • The site runs no advertising trackers and sets no tracking cookies.
  • There is no Google Analytics here.
  • If you use the contact form, your message goes to Kathleen and nowhere else.
  • Nothing about you is sold or shared with advertisers.

The contact form

When you send a message, the form collects what you type: your name, email address, company, product type and project description. It is used only to reply to you and talk about your project.

Your message is emailed to Kathleen. A copy is also stored in a database on Cloudflare, so that nothing is lost if an email fails to arrive. Stored copies are deleted after 12 months.

To keep out spam, the form uses Turnstile, a check from Cloudflare that looks at your browser and device to tell people from automated bots. Cloudflare handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites. It reports totals, such as how many people viewed a page and roughly which country they were in. It can’t identify you.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for a short time for security and reliability. They are not used for marketing.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other sites, such as LinkedIn or a published paper. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Children

The site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

To ask what is stored about you, or to have your message deleted, email kathleenoc96@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
